Windows 10 & 11 UWP apps will hide the scroll bar by default, a minor annoyance to some who prefer to have a visible, easy-to-click scroll bar. Here's how to get the old-style scroll bar back in your UWP or Windows Store apps and Start Menu.

We can accomplish this in settings or by using registry files.

1: Disable or Enable Automatically Hide Scroll Bars in Windows 10 Apps With Registry Files

Download Disable or Enable Automatically Hide Scroll Bars in Windows 10 Apps, and extract the two files:

Disable Automatically Hide Scroll Bars in Windows 10 Apps.reg
Default - Enable Automatically Hide Scroll Bars in Windows 10 Apps.reg

Double-click Disable Automatically Hide Scroll Bars in Windows 10 Apps.reg to restore the wide scroll bar.

Click Yes when prompted by User Account Control.
Click Yes when prompted by Registry Editor.

Click OK when prompted by the Registry Editor.

This tweak is included as part of MajorGeeks Registry Tweaks.

2: Disable or Enable Automatically Hide Scroll Bars in Windows 10 Apps in Settings

Click on Start > Ease of Access.

Scroll down on the left and Check or uncheck Automatically hide scroll bars in Windows.

On is the default setting.
