Help Protect Your PC from the Latest Spectre Threats with Intel CPU Microcode Update

Intel announced that they have completed software validations and started releasing new microcode for current CPU platforms in reaction to the following Spectre threats. The update listed here is KB4465065.
Spectre Variant 3a (CVE-2018-3640: "Rogue System Register Read (RSRE)")
Spectre Variant 4 (CVE-2018-3639: "Speculative Store Bypass (SSB)")
L1TF (CVE-2018-3620, CVE-2018-3646: "L1 Terminal Fault")
This new release includes a microcode update from Intel for the following CPUs. Because the list of processors is so long, please refer to the previously mentioned link.
This is a standalone update targeted at Windows 10, version 1809 (Windows 10 October 2018 Update) and Windows Server 2019. This update also includes Intel microcode updates that were already released for these operating systems at the time of release to manufacturing (RTM).
