How to Block Spam Calls on a Samsung Phone

I have been getting bombarded with SPAM calls this week. Most are just hangups, but all of them are annoying. Looking into it, blocking Spammers is surprisingly easy on a Samsung / Android phone. Admittedly, though, I need one of you iPhone users to chime in on how to do this on an Apple device. I don't have one.
Block Numbers Manually: If you receive a call from a spam number, you can block it directly from the Phone app.
Go to Recent calls, tap on the number or contact you want to block, then select the "i" icon to get more information. Here, you'll find the option to block the number. But, generally, a smart spammer will use a different number every time, making this option more useful for blocking a known person.
Smart Call Feature: Samsung phones often come with a Smart Call feature that identifies and blocks spam calls.
On your Samsung / Andriod Phone
1. Open the Phone app.
2. Tap the three-dot menu icon on the top right corner and select Settings.
3. Toggle on Caller ID and spam protection. Thats it.
If you want to adjust further, tap the words "Caller id and spam protection," You can then choose to block all spam calls or just High-risk calls. I told you - easy.
Set to Only Contacts: Want to delve a little deeper into quieting your cell phone? You can also set your device up so only contacts can call you. Here's how:
1. Phone app.
2. Again, tap the three-dot menu icon on the top right corner and select Settings.
3. Tap Block numbers
4. Toggle on Block unknown callers.
That's it! You've just blocked all calls from numbers that are not in your contacts list. Thank me later, and enjoy the bliss.
Additional Tips:
Do Not Disturb Mode: As a temporary measure, you can use Do Not Disturb mode to silence calls from anyone not in your contacts list or selected pre-approved list. Go to Settings and search for Do Not Disturb. From there you can choose what time, who, and what apps can get through when turned on.
Carrier Tools: Some carriers offer additional services and tools to identify and block spam calls. Check with your carrier to see what options are available to you.
