How to Delete Downloaded Netflix Offline Content

By Timothy Tibbetts

on 06/15/2023

Did you know Netflix stores content on your hard drive that can, over time, take up a lot of hard drive space? In this guide, we show you how to delete that content and free up space.

1: Delete Local Files

Open File Explorer and go to
C:\Users\YOUR NAME \AppData\Local\Packages\4DF9xxx.Netflix_mcm4nxxxxx\LocalState\offlineInfo\downloads

Use CTRL+A to highlight all the files in that folder, right-click and click on Delete.

2: Delete All Downloads From Netflix App

Open the Netflix app and click on the hamburger icon (three dots) and click on Settings.

Find the downloads sections and click on Delete all downloads.

The beautiful thing about this step is that you can see how much space is being used to determine how much you'd like to delete.

Knowing now how much space is wasted, we can consider deleting individual shows in the next step.

3: Delete Individual Shows From Netflix App

After you've deleted local files, you might check the app for anything saved you no longer need. Open the Netflix app and click on the hamburger icon (three dots) and click on My Downloads.

Select the show you'd like to delete and click on Delete Download.
