Most laptops will allow you to flip the screen up, down, left, or right, by pressing a few keys. If you suddenly see your screen has rotated, here are the key combinations to restore your screen.

While holding down both the CTRL + ALT key, press one of the arrow keys in the opposite direction that the screen is. If your screen is upside down, press the down arrow, for example. Worst case scenario, you can press the left or right arrow key until your screen rotates back where you want it.

The only exception here is if your computer manufacturer modified Windows orientation settings.

You might also press the Windows Key + S and begin typing orientation and click on Change the orientation of the display. Every PC that's modified is different, so look for any settings here that could flip your display.

Disable Screen Orientation

Maybe you don't see a need for screen orientation and would like to disable it? Not a problem. There are two ways to do this.

1: You can click in the bottom right corner on Action Center. Most laptops should have a Rotation Lock option you can turn on and off.

2: Go to Start > Settings > System > Display. Scroll down and toggle Rotation Lock off.
