By Timothy Tibbetts |
When upgrading to Windows 10 May Feature update, some of you might see an error message that says "What needs your attention" and "This PC can’t be upgraded to Windows 10."
This problem can appear on any Windows 10 PC. It turns out that Windows 10 requires you to unplug any USB drives to avoid drive reassignment, which could be disastrous.
Here are the four steps you can try to get the May update installed.
1: Remove any external drives connected to USB.
2: Remove all other USB devices you don't need, including cameras, microphones, printers, and more.
3: Update your drivers. We use Driver Booster.
4: Most websites seemed to have missed the message that states Windows 10 will be installed when this problem is resolved. So, a fourth option is to wait until they solve the problem. You could also block or defer Windows 10 Feature updates for a couple of weeks or a month.
