Most hotels now offer USB ports to charge your devices, while some still lack this expected feature. We've had the same problem, especially in cheap hotels off of major highways. Here's a possible solution, if you don't have, or can't find your USB wall outlet charger.
One downside is most televisions will need to be turned on, but in a pinch, there's a good chance your hotel television has a USB port, and you can charge your device to keep it running.
As someone with battery anxiety, using the hotel TV USB posts has been a great trick to know about.
