What Is the Sun and ! Icon on the Windows 10 Lock Screen?

Recently, a reader mentioned to us that they had a sun and exclamation point icon on their Windows 10 lock screen and asked us if we knew what it was. Here's an explanation and how to stop that notification from appearing.
The icons are appearing because your weather app is notifying you of a weather advisory.
You can decide which apps can show notifications by following these steps.
1. From the Charms bar, tap Settings.
2. When the Settings pane appears, tap Change PC Settings
3. When the PC Settings screen appears, tap Personalize from the left column.
On the right side, toward the bottom, you can choose which apps are allowed to show little notifications including the lock screen.
