How to Enable or Disable Windows Update Restart Notifications

Windows Updates are important to your computer. Many windows Updates include drivers, bug and security fixes, and even feature updates. Windows 11 can remind you when you need to restart to apply the latest Windows Updates.
Many Windows Updates, including Windows Defender updates, don't require restarting, but when a restart is required, you should all Windows to notify you.
When we wrote this, both our Desktop and VMware installation had Windows update restart notifications off.
Click on Start > Settings or press the Windows Key + I.
Click on Windows Updates on the left.
Click on Advanced Options on the right.

Check or uncheck Notify me when a restart is required to finish updating.

Reboot.
