AboutBuster is a tool that scans for AboutBlank on an infected system. Currently, its database supports the detection of CWS.HomeSearch, CWS.MfPlay, and CWS.SeDLL. Released in June of 2004, it made its debut as the only tool of its time to fully detect the HomeSearch virus. Since 2004, the virus creators have upgraded AboutBlank and split it into 3 other variants, listed above.

Simply download AboutBuster from the link below. Unzip to a convenient location such as C:\AboutBuster. Navigate to the folder you unzipped the files to and double click on the file named AboutBuster.exe. Finally, select Begin Scan and the detection process will commence.

Compatible with Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, NT, XP, Vista
