animatedTabs loads a new animated GIF every time you open a new tab in Google Chrome.

I know what you're thinking, but hear us out.

animatedTabs seems like a waste of resources and a silly idea. It's not the most popular extension on the Chrome Web Store, but it's one of the most entertaining.

Anyone who loads a new tab expects their default tab to appear. animatedTabs entertains you by opening a random animated GIF, choosing from over 13 million GIFs.

We can't lie; they aren't all home runs, but you can't please everyone. You can always go about your business doing whatever you had planned for your new tab, but it beats looking at a dull, blank tab.

What would I change? Memes. Animated GIFs can be fun, but there are billions of memes available, and we think they would load faster and be just as much fun.

You can always remove the extension if you disagree, but give animatedTabs a try.
