Avira Support Collector is designed to assist Avira support in troubleshooting by creating a detailed error analysis of your system.

Avira Support Collector is portable and simple to use. Enter your name, company, email, phone number and are not required. Next, choose from default, malware, or extended scans.

The default is the quickest and collecting of the information is expected to only take a few minutes but we found that unlikely. Expect over 10 minutes, at best.

Extended is what it says and dump-files are collected as well. This mode can last several hours, but on our faster PC with SSD it was under 30 minutes.

Malware collects the same information as the standard mode as well as additional information for malware analysis including file information from Windows directories, dat files, and Avira quarantine files. This method can last several hours, but on our faster PC with SSD it was under 30 minutes.

When the scan has completed, Avira Support Collector will save all the support information on your desktop in a file called AVSUPINF.7z
