Check Browsers LNK checks for LNK and URL shortcuts to detect harmful links aimed at showing undesirable ads in browsers. It can be used with ClearLNK to "cure" these problems.
It will simply generate a logfile which can help you find any problems with .LNK and .URL after an infection. To use Check Browsers LNK, you will need to disable your antivirus. After you have that disabled (don't forget to enable it when finished), unzip the archive, run the file Check Browsers LNK.exe, and then wait for it to finish. The folder "LOG" will be opened and show you the report
Additional command line switches:
-silent – do not open the report window.
-aggressive – disable some filters.
-saveLog “path to the file” – save reports in the specified folder.
You can specify symbol . (dot) instead of the path for saving the log near the program (relative paths are supported: the reference point is a folder with the program).
-openLogFile – open a log file instead of its folder at the end of the analysis.
-Lang XX - force choosing of interface language, where XX - is a language (RU, EN, or FR). You can also rename the file to the name "Check Browsers LNK_EN.exe," _RU, or _FR. It will be the same.
-help – help on command line switches.
