Cold Turkey will allow you to block distracting internet sites.

You can use Cold Turkey to block anything from specific web pages to the entire Internet if you desire. You also have the paid option to block applications or even lock yourself out of your computer for a specific amount of time.

Cold Turkey is a browser extension that will keep you productive even when your will breaks down, and you must "haz another kitteh" picture. Once you have initiated a block, there's no turning back. By default, the Cold Turkey timers are locked until your set elapsing of time has occurred, including weekly schedules that can be locked until a particular time.

If you are nervous about enlisting a complete block, don't worry, you can add Pomodoro-like timers or daily time-limits to add breaks to your block (only in the paid version). As stated above, once you set your blocks, there is no going back, so this isn't for the fickle. You will need to stand by your decision until the set times pass. Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge are not yet supported in this version of Cold Turkey Blocker. These browsers will be closed during a block.
