DarkAudacity is an open source branch of the popular audio editor and recorder Audacity.

DarkAudacity leaves Audacity alone in functionality and instead aims for a different, darker theme.

Everything done is based on feedback from Audacity users and the author's personal tastes. Here are some examples of what it does. DarkAudacity simplifies the menu some, offers a cleaner meter with no numbers, and removes what they consider "clutter" including some sliders, etc.
