Deep Space Fire is a fun strategy game based on the Milton Bradley Battleship game. Build up your space fleet and wage war against the machine in ten separate campaigns.
Deep Space Fire utilizes the mechanics of Battleship so it will be quite familiar to most users; you have your board, which you will need to place your ships strategically. You can maneuver them however you want, but they are not allowed to touch. The goal in Deep Space Fire is to choose a block on the enemy's board and annihilate all their ships before they do it to you first.
If you fail to hit a ship, just like in Battleship, your opponent is up, if you do hit one then you get another turn immediately. Whichever player destroys all the opponent's ships wins. For each victorious battle, points are gained that can be used to upgrade your fleet making it stronger for the next fight you wage. There are also ten enemy territories that you need take over while still maintaining points for fleet expansion and upgrade. Played this game for a little bit longer than usual as it was very fun and close enough to the original Battleship board game to be nostalgic but with enough improvements to be fresh.
