DeskTidy is a free, portable app to organize your desktop including files, folders, applications, and anything else.

DeskTidy should be extracted to a folder because it will create files including a BMP, INI, and icons. On the first run, you will see a DT icon that you right-click to use. DeskTidy, by default, will stay on top but that can be changed. By holding down the shift button, you can even replace that icon by dragging in a custom image. You can also select your font as well. Finally, you can also run multiple instances, but you'll need to rename the file.

There are two ways to add whatever you like to a new item. You can drag-and-drop or select New, Empty Item. If you need to remove an object, hold down shift and select remove - that's it.

If your desktop is a mess, DeskTidy makes it very easy for you to declutter your desktop and turn all of those shortcuts into a program launcher of sorts. Pretty neat.
