DesktopUp is a straightforward desktop optimization app that includes some useful options. A Portable version is also available.

DesktopUp is geared towards anyone with many folders and documents, making locating what you need easier. It allows you to create new desktops and organize them with a user-defined name and a folder. You can create a My Trip Photos desktop and select the folder containing the photos; when you want to view them, you only have to choose that newly created desktop from the list and click on the Use button. It is just as simple to get back to your main desktop - click Windows, and you are there.

DesktopUp also allows you to use a particular desktop to associate programs, grouping the needed elements for working with that folder in one convenient place. DesktopUp can create as many desktops as needed, all with the specific subject matter associated with the programs needed.
