Doszip Commander is a long file name aware file manager designed as a Norton Commander clone featuring built-in Zip and UnZip for DOS and Windows. You can also try the beta version when it is available.
While Doszip Commander has a DOS appearance, it does come with a GUI that's simple to use. However, some knowledge of DOS is required. It almost looks like Windows Explorer from the Windows 3.11 days.
Long file names can still be a problem, so that's one of Doszip Commander's strong suits. Keyboard shortcuts are available for Help, Rename, View, Edit, Copy, Move, Make Directory, and Delete.
Speaking of Help, pressing F1 is the place to go first. It has help on compressed file support, viewer and editor support, environment variables, creating a tool menu, keyboard shortcuts, and more. If you're just looking to accomplish a specific task, the Help has you covered. You can just scroll up or down to your choice, and press enter. Escape will exit the Help section you're viewing and return.
If you need to manage files in ways Windows Explorer, or File Explorer can't, then Doszip Commander fills that void. Doszip Commander is portable, just extract and run.
