Grafx2 is a bitmap paint app for producing graphics for games that supports image formats like BMP, GIF, PNG, IFF, etc.

It is inspired by the Amiga programs Deluxe Paint and Brilliance. Grafx2 specializes in 256-color drawing; it incorporates a large number of effects and tools that make it especially suitable for pixel art, game graphics, as well as any detailed graphics painted via the mouse.

GrafX2 is a drawing program dedicated to pixel art and low-color graphics. Its layout is very similar to Deluxe Paint or Brilliance, so it will be comfortable to handle if you are familiar with at least one of those programs. If you aren't used to the art of drawing with up to 256 colors, it will be a little more difficult for you, but you should give it a try (or more, because most of the power of this program won't show up on the first try).

Grafx2 was initially written for the MS-DOS operating system. The authors then released the source code, and it has been modified to run on your favorite platform.
