Hidden Data Detector is designed to help find and identify hidden data & metadata in most files.

The software's initial setup is easy and takes only a few moments. Once you launch it, you will be greeted by an outdated, simple, and basic user interface. The interface is displayed in a relatively small window with three main sections.

After scanning your files, it will notify you if there are any document properties, tracked changes, comments, presentation notes, or other types of hidden data and metadata. This will help you determine the possibility of sharing files containing confidential and private hidden data. Additionally, it will assist you in deciding whether you need a comprehensive hidden data removal solution. You can choose the folders and subfolders you want to scan, as well as the type of files you are searching for, from the left panel. You can also evaluate the scan results and learn more about the files that may pose a risk from the other two panes.

Hidden Data Detector considers files clean only when their hidden data portion is completely removed.
