K2pdfopt (Kindle 2 PDF Optimizer) is a free, portable app that optimizes the format of PDF or DJVU files for viewing on smaller mobile devices.
Admittedly, the interface can appear a little cluttered. However, the upside to this is that there are many options to make sure your PDF or DJVU displays correctly on your smaller screen.
Click on Add File to select your Pdf and then go through your options. There are numerous presets, including Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and Nexus 7. Some guesswork applies here, depending on what you're converting. Next to those presets, you will find the width, height, and DPI settings. Other presets will allow for simple modifications making it a breeze. Those include 2-column paper, trim margins, and you can create custom rules.
After all of that, if it's not how you want it, there are command-line switches, crop areas manually, columns, resolution factors, and 18 other checkboxes for simple tweaks. You can batch add and convert as well. Finally, a preview window is available, so there's not much guesswork involved before you convert. The preview window is perfect for using the checkboxes mentioned above to make quick and simple changes that you spot.
Converting a PDF to a smaller format isn't difficult to do online, but K2pdfopt (Kindle 2 PDF Optimizer) takes it to a whole new level by perfecting the conversion perfectly for your devices.
Download contains both 32 and 64 Bit.
