K7 Downadup Removal Tool can identify and remove the Downadup infections, part of the Conficker family.

K7DownadupRemover is a console application that scans and removes Worm.Win32.Downadup (Conficker) malware files and associated registry entries from an infected machine. It uses a generic & heuristic method to identify the presence of this malware.

The malware files are moved their original location to "X:K7DownadupFilesForUpload" (where 'X' is the drive that has your Operating System installed) The malware registry entries identified are removed as part of the cleaning procedure.

A detailed log (K7DownadupRemover.log) is written to the current directory by default.

As part of the scanning & removal procedure permissions are reset for files & registry entries that are suspected to be created due to Downadup infection.
