Kill is a portable utility that allows you to kill or close any window underneath the Jolly Roger mouse pointer graphic.
Since it is portable, you will need to pin it to the taskbar for ease-of-access. Of course, you can close out or kill a window in the standard way, but this offers a geeky way of accomplishing the same. Once you click on the taskbar icon it is active, then the next left click you make it does it job and reverts the mouse pointer to normal functions.
Kill can be considered a more efficient way than using Ctrl/Alt/Del. Since it displays all processes you could inadvertently kill some of them potentially having detrimental effects on your system. Doing it on a per-window basis allows you to kill or close only the intended process.
One point to note, don't forget that Kill is active, as we did during testing, or it will do what it is intended to do with no further warnings or prompts.
Features:
- Left-click to Close
- Ctrl-Left-click to Kill
- Esc Cancels
