MajorGeeks Joke Bot is a harmless prank script that tells a random dad joke every 60 seconds using your system’s text-to-speech voice—perfect for April Fools' Day or just messing with your favorite geek. I scraped this together in about 12 minutes while working on another project as a joke to annoy my family with no intention of releasing the scripts. It's super silly. But sometimes, you just have to share the laugh. Am I right?

The Joke bot runs silently in the background, tossing out a mix of techy and classic groan-worthy dad jokes with no visible window or icon. After a few minutes, the victim will start to wonder where the voice is coming from—and if they’re losing it --- and the wont be able to stop it without the right key. MUUUUUU hahaha.

There’s no installation, no registry changes, and it’s completely safe to run. Download and unzip the folder somewhere. Then, launch the script using the included VBS file. This starts the PowerShell script in the background, so the user never sees it. It then tells a dad joke every 60 seconds. It's SUPER annoying, but harmless.

Everything is in 2 scripts. If you know VBS or PS1 scripting, you can easily modify it to add your own jokes or whatever you like including time.

How to stop it: To shut it down cleanly, just press Shift + 7 (that’s the & key) at any time. It will insult you, and exit. You can also close Windows PowerShell from the Task Manager, if the key gets buggy. Reboot will do it too. Unless you are truly evil and put it in the scheduler. >

This is great for office pranks, tech-savvy friends, or anyone who secretly loves dad jokes (you know who you are).
