MAMEUI, formerly MAME32, is the GUI version of MAME. MAME32 is available for 32-bit operating systems but is no longer updated.

Originally authored in 1997 by Chris Kirmse, MAMEUI was the first port of MAME to the Windows platform.

MAMEUI provides a user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI) for those who are not comfortable using the Command Line Interface (CLI) provided by MAME. Its main objective is to reproduce classic arcade games from the late 1970s to today as closely as possible on modern computers. With MAMEUI, you can enjoy playing your favorite childhood games just like you were in a classic arcade. The primary purpose of this software is to preserve decades of software history. As electronic technology speeds ahead, MAMEUI prevents vintage software from being lost or forgotten. This is achieved by documenting the hardware and its functions, while the source code serves as this documentation.
