NarkoMania is a Minesweeper clone featuring a speed graph that gives you in-game performance comparisons.
It features five difficulty levels (plus a custom one) and a Top-100 high-score table for each difficulty level. The goal is the same as Minesweeper, uncover all tiles on the board without opening up any mines. For each uncovered empty tile, there is a hint given as to how many mines are in the surrounding squares. You use the clues to figure out where the actual mines are located and mark them up. Once you have marked the mines, you can then double mouse button-click on an opened square, and NarkoMania automatically uncovers the surrounding squares based on your marks.
For instance, clicking on a square that shows two mines in proximity that have already been marked, NarkoMania will open all unopened squares near your clicking point. At this point, the special recursive algorithm applies the same rules to every square that opens. This action permits digging deeper and deeper into the minefield to uncover everything possible. This is intended as a productivity boost compared to other Minesweeper iterations. If you enjoy playing Minesweeper, then you will like NarkoMania as well, and the added performance comparison is a neat way to help improve your skills.
