Outlook CalDav Synchronizer is a free Outlook Plugin that synchronizes events, tasks, and contacts between Outlook and Google, SOGo, Nextcloud, Horde, or any CalDAV or CardDAV server.
Outlook CalDav Synchronizer originated as a master’s thesis project at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, specifically within the Software Engineering degree program. The project aimed to address the growing need for seamless synchronization between Microsoft Outlook and various CalDav-compatible calendar services. By leveraging advanced software engineering principles and methodologies, the project sought to provide users with a reliable tool for managing their calendar data across different platforms.
The thesis not only encompassed the development of the synchronization tool but also included a comprehensive analysis of existing solutions, user requirements, and best practices in software design. This academic foundation paved the way for the creation of a versatile and effective application that is still in use today.
