Pixcheck is an Open Source, portable app to check your monitor for dead pixels.

The Pixcheck welcome screen offers to explain the type of pixels you might see. Otherwise, once you click on Close welcome screen, the app starts.

A white box appears over a black background to move around the screen to look for dead pixels. You can do this by moving the white box with your mouse. Press the escape key to exit the test.

Pixcheck is currently in Alpha, and we suspect there is more work to be done. For example, IsMyLcdOK runs many more tests with multiple colors, which is a must-have for this type of app.
