Samplitude Music Studio is a full-featured suite to help you create, mix and master your songs.
Samplitude uses an object-oriented workflow to help you develop your arrangement regardless of how complex with professional studio quality.
When you first sign in to the app, it offers some video tutorials. If you are unfamiliar with this type of application, you should watch them. You'll find the interface pretty intuitive if you have used audio or video editing apps before.
You will also be offered the ability to download an extensive amount of free add-on instruments. Fair warning, that will take up a lot of space. But, hey, if you need an accordion, you need an accordion.
Samplitude provides you with a multitrack recording interface that has a LOT of options. The feel is very similar to Audacity - but with much more. Samplitude comes standard with a quickstart wizard and a few templates to help you get started - or you can start from scratch.
Samplitude supports a wide array of plugins from instruments including synths, guitars, choir, pianos, strings, brass, bass and drum machines (32 Vita instruments). You can adjust tempo, pitch, add instruments, really whatever you like, and there is a complete mixing board included. Once you like a track, you can lock it and move into the next track.
But let's be honest -- there's still a pretty decent learning curve, especially if you have never done any recording, either analog or digital.
Fortunately, their guides (help --> online tutorials) are very good.
