Sink the Ship, a throwback to the Apple II game in all its simple and slow glory.
It uses Apple's 40 x 40 lo-res graphics screen to bring you back to the 80s. Gameplay in Sink the Ship is simple, hit any key to slowly drop your ten alotted bombs from the plane. It only allows a single bomb to be dropped per turn. The specific location of hit on the boat award different amounts of points. Don't let the agonizingly slow movement fool you, timing your bomb drop is key. Once you have let a bomb go, you will wait, and wait some more for it to make its snail's pace decent. There is no sound included — just slow, bomb dropping silence. During testing, we dropped a bomb, then got some coffee, took the dog out and the bomb was still dropping when we returned. It brought back some memories.
Consider Sink the Ship, not as an action-packed game but a view into a simpler time that is a fun way to get your retro fix.
