Task Catcher can show, monitor, block, or kill running tasks on your computer.

Task Catcher is no longer updated or supported, but we have permission to upload the final 2.2 release as freeware to MajorGeeks with the catch that we let you know it is "as is."

A small, main window has links to Active, Services, Track Programs, Restart List, and Blocked. You can then get info, refresh, or kill a running task.

Track Programs detects how many times a program opens and closes. Restart List works similarly by automatically restarting programs that stop running. Anything on the Blocked list will have Windows shut down any tasks in the blocked list should they run.

Task Catcher supports 17 languages. While no longer updated and never updated for Windows 10, we tested it successfully in Windows 10.
