Windows Screen Locker is a simple, open source app to lock and unlock your computer keeping prying eyes out.

Windows Screen Locker is very minimalist all around which can be a good or bad thing depending on your needs. All you have to do is enter and confirm a password, followed by OK to lock your computer. There's' no way to see what's behind the asterisks when you type which is fine until you make a mistake (we did the first time). Tab does not work to jump from the password to verify, and there isn't even a mouse cursor to see where you're at. Again, nothing major until you expect these sort of small details.

Once locked, the computer shows a white or gray background says "Screen is Locked." Type in your password and you are notified that it's been unlocked.

Windows Screen Locker isn't the best screen locker we've ever seen, but it's free, simple to use and does what it promises.
