A woman in Fort Walton Beach was re-arrested after finishing up her probation; the reason for the arrest on grand theft charges - not returning her ankle monitor to the probation department.
You would think that after completing your probation that you would be overjoyed to return the constant reminder of your past stupidity - nope, not this girl. According to NWF Daily, Brittany Nicole Brahmstedt, 21, received multiple phone messages from her probation officer asking for the return of the $2000 piece of equipment, all of which she ignored.
The local police department was enlisted to help recover the monitor and Brahmstedt promised to return it - she failed to do so.
Brahmstedt was arrested on grand theft charges, her next court date is in September. Probation is probably off the table at this point...
