A suspicious package caused MTA authorities to suspend north and south bound rail service on the main line in Fairfield, CT., for several hours today.
The bomb squad was called in to inspect the package, which turned out to be a Tomlinson Middle School students project which was accidentally left near a bridge at the Fairfield station.
According to authorities the child intended to return to the station in order to retrieve the project - which bears an uncanny resemblance to Bender, the beer drinking, cigar smoking, womanizing robot from Futurama.
Service was eventually restored but residual delays are expected to continue all day.
No mention if authorities returned the project to the child.
