First things first; someone in Virginia knows how to fly a drone? The answer is actually 'no' as you can see from the video clip. The RC drone was being used to obtain overheard shots of the 'Great Bull Run' event when it suddenly pitched to the side and then bee lined straight into the crowd.
According to the Washington Post, the drone crashed into the grandstand at Virginia Motorsports Park during the Great Bull Run, said Major W.B. Knott, of the Dinwiddie County sheriff’s office, reporting what might be described as the dramatic encounter between a controversial piece of hardware and a controversial spectacle.
The bull run was billed as a daylong festival featuring bands, drinking, games and a tomato fight. The highlight was to be four scheduled bull runs in which participants were to try to elude or outrace 24 hefty specimens of male livestock.
If the drone thing isn't enough to have you scratching your head; the fact that the wayward aircraft crashed into paying spectators watching a "running of the bulls" event in Virginia should.
Animal rights organizations have long contended that the event endangers the livestock - I guess they were kind of right.
