Would you like a free trip around the world? Who wouldn’t?
Jordan Axani, 28, said he and his then girlfriend, named Elizabeth Gallagher, booked heavily discounted round-the-world air tickets in May, but their relationship has ended and he doesn't want her ticket to go to waste. He told The Associated Press on Saturday that the ticket has a strict no-transfer policy, but since passport information was not required when booking, it can be used by any Canadian woman named Elizabeth Gallagher.
"I just want to see the ticket go to good use and for someone to experience a lot of joy," said Axani, speaking by telephone from his Toronto home.

UPDATE: So far there's been a lot of folks sharing this post and Imgur link around. So thank you! Much appreciated. To address two frequent questions: 1. I appreciate the thought, but I'm not going to randomly message people on LinkedIn or Facebook. This approach came up at a dinner party last night, and the collective group (myself included) just didn't see how that strategy could end well (though I am sure the screen captures of those messages would make for excellent Reddit content). If it matters, I'm a totally normal 28 year old guy living in Toronto that's friendly, trustworthy, full of good stories and am coincidently a great guy to share a laugh with over a beer. One thing that's super important: please respect the privacy of the real Elizabeth Gallagher and let's keep this light and fun. Remember that this is a feel good story, and let's stay focused on that. Lots of Elizabeth Gallaghers have come forward and will continue to do so, which is all kinds of amazing (yay internet!).
