DuckDuckGo offers a 'no track' browsing experience

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 01/26/2015 04:28 AM [ comments Comments ]

If you would like a little privacy while you browse the web along with receiving great search results without being herded into a particular result then DuckDuckGo is for you.

DuckDuckGo is an internet search engine that emphasizes protecting searchers' privacy and avoiding filter bubble of personalized search results. DuckDuckGo's results are a compilation of "about 50" sources, including Yahoo! Search BOSS; Wikipedia; Wolfram Alpha; Bing; its own Web crawler, the DuckDuckBot; and others.

DuckDuckGo positions itself as a search engine that puts privacy first and as such it does not store IP addresses, does not log user information and uses cookies only when needed.

DuckDuckGo is available via the address bar, search bar and right-click menu. Also adds a handy toolbar button with more features!
