Facebook outage an internal glitch, not a hack by Lizard Squad

Facebook, along with Instagram, suffered a short outage that occurred at 1am Tuesday morning. Several other major Internet services — like dating app Tinder and workplace instant messaging service Hipchat — also went down around the same time but have since recovered.
The hacker group Lizard Squad tried to take credit for this morning's outages, but Facebook shot that down.
Facebook said in a statement to Reuters: "This was not the result of a third-party attack but instead occurred after we introduced a change that affected our configuration systems. Both services are back to 100 percent for everyone."
During the outages, users who attempted to access Facebook were met with the message: "Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can."
