The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s department arrested Michael Lee Coulombe, 51, of Mary Esther, after multiple complaints about his harassing behavior at a local condo. It was reported that Coulombe had been drinking for a period of time at the condo pool.
According to the report from NWF Daily News, a woman told deputies she and her grandson were in the laundry area when Coulombe entered and began physically harassing the 5-year-old. He grabbed the boy by his legs, picked him up and held him upside down, the woman said. Later, by the pool, Coulombe allegedly did the same thing and boy hit his head on a chair and started to cry.
It was also reported that Coulombe was verbally abusing people in and around the pool area, one person was hit in the arm.
A deputy that was dispatched to the condo immediately could see that Coulombe was drunk, and he readily admitted that fact to the deputy when asked.
Coulombe was arrested and charged with child abuse without great harm and disturbing the peace.
