Where to begin with this mess? Police were called to a disturbance call in Baker county and when they arrived, Nicholas Byram, 32, sped away in a vehicle to which they gave chase - there starts another crazy Saturday night in the Sunshine State!
According to Action News Jax, during the pursuit, which reached speeds of 110 mph in a 45 mph zone, Byram made repeated attempts to strike the patrol car that was chasing him, police said.
Police said Byram threw a beer out of the vehicle during the chase, which continued despite a damaged left-front tire. The chase ended when the Jeep lost its left rear tire, sending it into a ditch, where it struck a tree. Byram refused to exit the vehicle so police sent in the K-9 (Monsoor) unit that promptly attempted to persuade Byram from the vehicle with his teeth. Byram tried to strangle the K-9 and was subsequently tased into submission. A search of the car uncovered some marijuana.
The unruly fool was then transported to a local hospital where they found a handcuff in his rectum. He was charged, according to police, with reckless driving, battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, drug possession and concealment of a handcuff key.
