I believe that causing a distraction is in the job description for being a roadside sign spinner, but I may be mistaken...He actually should get a raise when released, because apparently he is very good at his job!
According to the SunSentinel, the situation began when a driver flagged down a deputy to complain about the road dancing, the report stated.
The deputy wrote in the report that he drove to the intersection and saw Ryan Brown, 22, holding a sign while stepping off the median and dancing on Okeechobee.
When the deputy made contact with Brown, the young man became argumentative and began swearing at the deputy. The final straw was when Brown continued to attempt to go into his pocket against the orders of the deputy. Brown was arrested and charged with failure to obey police, unlawful use of a state right of way, and resisting arrest without violence.
Brown's boss has no problem with what happened and says that there is no change in the employment status of the young man. He also stated that he thinks the arrest was "not fair."
