Florida Friday: Woman Hid Frozen Clams in Her Shorts

Palm Bay police said a transient was arrested on suspicion of retail theft after a loss prevention employee at the Publix on Malabar Road saw the 52-year-old woman open a box of frozen clams and hide them in the front of her shorts.

She was escorted to the security office without incident and the food items, valued at $45.98, were recovered.



Police identified the suspect as Debra Lee Marceau. She was arrested and taken to the Palm Bay Police Department for processing.
