A Florida woman was arrested after a rollover crash that left her vehicle disabled; according to police, the boozy smelling mom attempted to walk from the scene with her toddler, when police approached the fleeing mother she threw her kid at one officer and punched another.
According to the arrest report obtained by the Orlando Sentinel, Tamika Williams, 28, clipped a tree with her SUV, rolled it over and crashed into a fence at Signal Hill Road and Lantern Court in Rosemont about 11:55 p.m.
Williams got out of the SUV, then got back in and tried to drive away, a resident who was awakened by the crash told investigators. The vehicle was disabled, however, and Williams walked off with her 2-year-old daughter, according to the report.
Williams continued to walk away even after police instructed her to stop; one officer attempted to physically stop her at which point she threw her toddler at him, forcing the officer to catch the child. Another officer was punched in the face several times and a taser was then used to subdue Williams.
Williams was charged with child neglect, battery on a law-enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence and leaving the scene of an accident.
