Google Chrome releases 'OK Google' hands-free search

Posted by: Jon Ben-Mayor on 05/22/2014 08:27 AM [ comments Comments ]

Google has launched a hands-free voice search function within the latest release of Chrome.

'Chromies' as Google calls Chrome users, can simply open up a new tab or visit Google.com, say "Ok Google” and your search will begin.

The feature was originally rolled out earlier this year within the February Beta release, but now it is live for everyone.

Though it's described as a universal update, the feature seems to only work for Chrome users with their language set to US English so far, according to The Verge.
