The high speed chase raced through two central Iowa counties and ended with the suspect vehicle bursting into flames; the cause of the chase was a simple act shoplifting - the items stolen consisted of an eyebrow pencil and some tweezers. It is of dire need when your brows become too bushy!

According to the DesMoines Register, at about 3:50 a.m., an employee from the Pleasant Hill Hy-Vee, 4815 Maple Drive, contacted police to report that two women were shoplifting pharmaceuticals.
The suspects left the store and got into a pick-up truck driven by Jerry Lee Pancoast, 42. When officers tried to pull the pick-up over, Pancoast accelerated and sped away.
Police didn't find any drugs inside the charred truck. But they did find one pair of tweezers and an eyebrow pencil, both allegedly stolen from Hy-Vee.
Pancoast was charged with eluding, driving with a suspended license, failing to obey a traffic control device and speeding.
Marie Kay Wright, 33, was charged with fifth-degree theft.
Pleasant Hill Police Officer Adam Choat says that they are still trying to figure out why Pancoast fled from what would have been a minor charge.
