If you thought BigDog was scary, meet his owner PetMan

PETMAN is a bipedal device developed by Boston Dynamics, it has been constructed for testing chemical protection suits. It is the first anthropomorphic robot that moves dynamically like a real person. It can also control temperature, humidity and sweating within a protective suit to provide real to life test conditions.



You might recall that Boston Dynamics is an engineering and robotics design company best known for the development of BigDog, a quadruped robot designed for the U.S. military with funding from Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the hopes that it will be able to serve as a robotic pack mule to accompany soldiers in terrain too rough for vehicles.



BigDog, in my opinion, is something that nightmares are made of and PetMan will be walking right next to the robotic demon dog in protection of our military personnel.
