MajorGeeks removes Google Chrome "Dev Build" from listings

Posted by: Timothy Tibbetts on 09/05/2014 01:55 AM [ comments Comments ]

Due to a lack of interest in Google Chrome Dev (Developer) builds, MajorGeeks has removed that listing. Google has always made it difficult to actually get the correct file and no longer wants people linking to them so they are not worth our time with their Dev builds.

Recently, Google has been contacting file download websites with cease and desist letters if they are hosting their files so this simply is one less potential legal problem with a giant company who could care less. Any attempt for us to speak with someone at Google any longer is about as hard as it would be for you. Expect uninterested form responses, if you get any response at all. And if you get a response, that employee will either move to another department or no longer be working there within weeks anyway.

We will still continue to list Google Chrome Beta and of course, Google Chrome Final - for now.
