Meanwhile in Egypt the internet is disrupted with divers, and knives

Egyptian authorities caught three divers off the port city of Alexandria attempting to disrupt internet service the old school way - by physically cutting the underwater internet cables.

The damaged cable caused a reduction in speed of online services in Egypt, and several other neighboring countries.

Cables were also damaged this past Friday, but authorities were not sure if the incidents were related.

At the time, cable operator Seacom said several lines connecting Europe with Africa, the Middle East and Asia were hit, also slowing down internet services, reported Reuters news agency .

Authorities are still investigating the crime and do not have a motive for the attacks. The three men that were apprehended are scheduled to be interrogated.

I assume that no internet background checks will be available for the interrogations of the men.
