Microsoft Office for iOS devices offered for free

Posted by: Timothy Weaver on 11/06/2014 05:18 AM [ comments Comments ]

Microsoft has released a new version of Office for iOS. It will include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and is not dependant on the user having an Office 365 account.

There was previously two version: The nearly useless Office Mobile for iPhone and the amazing and nearly perfect Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for iPad.

It is welcome news that Office will work on all of your iOS devices and even better that the user no longer needs an Office 365 account to create and edit content.

Microsoft still has incentives for users to purchase a subscription to Office 365. A subscription allows users to include advanced change tracking features, no limits on the ways you can use paragraph styles, and advanced chart, table, and picture formatting tools.
